ONE PLANT THREE STYLINGS ➤ URBAN JUNGLE BLOGGERS

Another month, another Urban Jungle Bloggers' challenge : one single plant, three  different stylings to show three different interior styles. I decided to take a trip instead, to place the houseplant I picked, a cactus of the agave family, into three different ambiences inspired by a town or a landscape (which in the end can inspire an interior way of life).

First stop: the North Pole. I love white winters and I love monochromatic ambiences. Patterned ceramics, furry texture and Northern animals surround a plant supposed to live under the Southern sun and heat. But they still seem to get along pretty well … a nice touch of colour in an all-white environnement.

Next stop : Milan. Iconic objects that remind of the Dolce Vita way of life. Together with objects inspired by the 50s, the cactus seems to find a more colourful and uncluttered environnement.

Last stop : Paris. Inspired by an artist atelier, the bobo way of life. Everything finds its place and coexists with several different objects.

I had fun (which I guess is the main thing) so I hope the Urban Jungle Bloggers' team will forgive my liberty in the interpretation of the theme. Don't forget to have a look at the UJB facebook page to check all the other contributions. And once again a huge thank you to Igor and Judith for keeping up this amazing project.
Have you all a lovely green day ♡

  1. I love your three stylings, Ilaria! I particularly love that all three are quite different from each other through the mere use of props. My secret favorite is of course no. 3 - you know, I am a French boy in my heart:-) Merci for being an Urban Jungle Blogger!!!

  2. So nice, Ilaria that you're taking us on a little green worldtour today! For a moment I thought you took us to Paris straight away, because of the red mini car (from Merci) ;) My favorite is your version of the Parisian "style bobo" and the agave itself of course! Thanks so much for joining us today and sharing the green fun! bisous!

    1. isn't it funny that the Red Fiat500 is more a symbol of Paris than Italy? I thought of putting it in another colour (we have a whole collection of it around here ;-) but the red was so striking I just couldn't take it away. Thanks to you for this challenge. Je t'embrasse

  6. Thank you Gudy! Your question about the brushes is an interesting one since I asked myself the same thing when I took them out ;-) My kids have always loved drawing and painting at home but it has been a while since they took these out (they now prefer colored pencils) … I guess I need to find the brushes a purpose now ! xx
